theSPACE Scotland CIC supports people to develop skills, ideas, and confidence through creative multi generational projects, led by youth, rooted in community and ownership.
theSpace Scotland exists to create lasting social change through youth-powered creativity, learning, and enterprise. We support young people as leaders and role models, working alongside the wider community to build projects, spaces, and opportunities that strengthen connection, confidence, and belonging.
theMart in East Linton is a pop-up skatepark and creative hub, offering beginner and adult skateboarding sessions, girls’ and LGBTQ+ skate sessions, and a range of creative workshops. Offering a safe, inclusive space powered by youth for the whole community.
Today, our dream is alive at Dunbear Point in Dunbar. After engaging the community in July 2025 consultations, we crafted detailed RIBA plans, raised £98k through grants and a 2025 Crowdfunder, and submitted our full planning application Jan 2026. We’re gearing up for a £15m capital raise to build our landmark facility in Dunbar.
theSpace Dunbar will be a bold, groundbreaking and multi-generational Action, Learning and Enterprise centre that will provide a diverse range of high quality facilities and activities, all powered by youth for the whole community. theSpace Dunbar will have a social purpose, economic self-reliance and environmental sustainability.
To promote, motivate, and celebrate ‘Youth in Community, creating positive action, opportunities, and connections in multi-generational spaces. Powered by youth for all, with a focus on empowerment (People), regeneration (Place), and sustainability (Planet), delivering social, economic, and environmental benefits through inclusive facilities and programs.
Be a part of Dunbar’s most ambitious and vital community space. Help us raise the final £10K needed to submit our planning application.
At theSpace, we put young people at the heart of music and creativity. From electrifying gigs to hands-on music projects, we give local youth the space, support, and opportunities to create, perform, and shine. Whether you’re a budding musician, a performer, or just love live music, our youth-led events are all about expressing yourself, learning new skills, and building a community that celebrates creativity.
